CONCEPT

The exponential development of internet, digital media and social networks has transformed us in passive consumers of images, which are produced and shared in an incessant, endless flow. We are not any more conscious of photography in its original sense, as an active medium for discovering new realities and creating everlasting aesthetic experiences.
Double Vision© is a way of giving back photography this original status. It is the result of a systematic process of analysis of the possibilities offered by the combination of analogue and digital techniques. It gives the observer the possibility of engaging and taking part in the creation of contents which transcend the passive role of the mere consumer, going “behind the surface” and making of the simple act of taking a photo an active process of discovery. Hidden worlds, narratives and layers of information are thus revealed, either in the form of historical time-traveling, addition of visual contents, or storytelling animation.
